Walking down to town on Sunday for our shopping. The pavement is covered with autumn leaves.
Observant remark from my daughter as she walked through the leaves. “Hey, it sounds like crisps!” Sigh.
Trying vainly to compensate for my stupid blunder yesterday when my camera’s battery ran out after just one photo on what was to be a collection of shots of Autumn colours taken on a gorgeous sunny day, I took my camera with me this morning ( complete with fully charged battery) as we went down to town for some shopping. It was raining which put a damper on things so don’t worry about the white spots on some of the shots. that’s just the rain on the lens.
Sorry readers. My lousy memory and usual bungling disorganisation is the cause of this very boring blog post. See, the intention was, after looking out the window this morning and seeing a gorgeous blue sky, to capture for my readers a plethora of fantastic photos showing Autumn in all her golden glory but……… after taking this lone photo on my way down the hill, the battery ran out of my camera and so silently cursing my stupidity under my breath I had to abandon the idea and return home.
Those readers of mine who have known me for quite some time and are well aware of my luck might have all guessed by now that my enforced stint of waiting around yesterday for a plumber to arrive to fix the shower head holder ended up being a wasted day. Eventually at 4.30pm I rang the repair office to ask where this expected plumber had disappeared to.
“Sorry, Mrs L, somehow you have been missed from the list of people to contact, he has rung in today sick, can I make another appointment with you?”
